Amazon.com - North American Stores Design

Lead UX Designer (L6)

Amazon Pets - Lead UX Designer Leading the alpha launch to north star vision for Pets, partnering with cross-functional teams to address ambiguous requirements and shape a scalable product roadmap, all while prioritizing customer obsession and seamless integration with Amazon’s core retail experience.

  • Agile, fast paced launching of an alpha version of a MVP leveraging Amazon’s RIO design system and component libraries for pixel-perfect delivery to gather insights quickly. Adhering to strict design systems for 4 partner teams to get quick approvals for the fast launch. Creating wireframes, flows and mockups.

  • Close cross functional collaboration with tech and product teams to quickly answer questions and make decisions. Effectively working with Product, Tech and QA teams to ensure success on all sides.

  • Presenting designs for executive level for approvals.

  • Creating the data-driven design roadmap for user testing to ensure a friction free experience, including AB testing for communication across the flow, and to improve retention and conversion rates for the new pet’s prescription hub.

  • Created a UX comparison strategy across Amazon to ensure consistent customer journey, recommending improvements and user testing to improve the experience.

Subscribe & Save - Lead UX Designer at Amazon.com for Subscribe & Save consumer program. Driving UX strategy for 3 year plan, customer journey, growth & retention in a multi-billion dollar global initiative. Conduct brainstorming, workshops, research, testing, and deliver customer-centric designs.

  • 3 Year UX Strategy for SnS - Streamlined returning Subscribe & Save customers, enabling subscription management from anywhere on the site. Introduced accessible search functionality. Revamped deliveries page for efficient bulk actions and tiering, enhancing discounts. Added filters and bulk editing for individual subscriptions on the subscriptions page.

  • Checkout Strategy for SNS - Partnered with Amazon retail cart and checkout teams to meet requirements to include Subscribe & Save sign up goals, moving from singular checkout and scale to bulk checkout with and flexible delivery options.

  • Backup Product Project - Created and tested two models to let customers pick an alternative product when their subscription item is unavailable. Iterated on desktop and mobile wireframes with user testing, produced comps and design specs for user preference evaluation and participated in QA. Launched

  • Subscribe & Save in global pricing - implemented Subscribe & Save in Amazon’s global pricing display. Conducted usability tests to ensure clear communication to users in line with Search and Detail Page stakeholders and design requirements. Ensured minimal height and scalability for worldwide market.

  • Subscription Product Substitutions - Saved subscriptions from out of stock by incorporating settings to allow users to automatically get the same item if their current item is out of stock. Conducted usability testing to make sure language was easy to understand and that the customer felt safe in selecting this setting. Delivered mocks, design specification for launch.

Disneyland Website - My Reservations & Magical Extras

  • 2019-2020 - Lead Designer for My Reservations Screen redesign and Magical Extras Screens for families booking resort stays at Disneyland. Leading 3 designers for multiple deliveries, multi-tasking and managing timelines and pixel-perfect deliveries.

Disney Cruise Line App (iOS, Android)

  • 2018-2019 - Led 3.0 App strategy, roadmap, and re-architecture. Implemented agile and Design Sprints, prioritizing dynamic content, configurable landing screens, messaging, favoriting, and accessibility. Managed junior designers on DCL operations team.

  • 2017-2018 - One of three designers leading the At Home portion, enabling guests to easily complete all required items for onboarding the ship. Mapped and validated business requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure seamless integration within the existing app structure.

Walt Disney World & Disneyland App - Mobile Order (iOS, Android)

  • 2015-2016 - One of two designers leading the architecture for purchasing food for guests at Disneyworld and Disneyland. Prepared usability testing for the app for in park testing. Led ideation, requirement analysis, and flow adjustments for Mobile Order at DLR. Conducted brainstorming sessions with Product and Tech, built Personas, and integrated Dine Plan into the Order Food app using an Axure prototype, tested on Florida guests with a focus on Mothers with children.

Walt Disney World Website

  • 2013-2015 - FastPass+:  Improved Fastpass+ Distribution through responsive redesigns in 2014 and 2016, simplifying complex business rules. Enhanced user experience, enabling efficient creation and modification of plans for guests' stays.

  • Received 2014 WDPRO Award of Excellence for Online Modification project. Led Lodging and Modifications Hub, leading wireframing, requirements gathering, testing, and multi-team collaboration between Creative, Technology, and Product Management.

  • Amazon SnS Starting Page library - Created Figma templates for Amazon Subscribe & Save core pages to expedite design and concepts for external designers and product partners

  • Amazon Design Conflux Conference (2023-2024) – Serving on the Events Advisory Board for Amazon's annual global design conference, selecting topics and screening speaker content for relevancy

  • Amazon UX Design Mentor (2020 – 2024) – Active member of the Amazon mentoring global mentoring program with 3 junior UX mentees

  • Diversify by Design (2021 – 2024) – Speaker and mentor for Diversify by Design and Design= programs, promoting diversity and inclusivity in the design profession. Volunteering for Culver City High School to talk about ideation and design sprints.

  • SIMBA: Summer Internship Mentor Alumni (2016 – 2020) – Founder and lead of Walt Disney Parks & Resorts internship program with a focus on soft skillsXDI: Experience Design Immersion (2017 – 2020) – Co-lead for a design thinking program for designers, developers, product and leadership with a focus on ideation and brainstorming.
